Attention Windows 7 and 8.1 users! By January 10, you must upgrade to Windows 11.

 


There is bad news if you are using Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. Microsoft will stop supporting all security updates on January 10. However, those who paid for Microsoft's Extended security update program, which enabled Oses users to extend security support by three years in early 2020, are affected by this news.
In 2020, Microsoft initially stopped providing regular users with security support for these operating systems. Since that time, the company has advised customers to upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 11.


The deadline of January 10 coincides with the release of Microsoft Edge 109, the last browser version to support Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. Even after the support is ended, the browser will continue to function, but it will be susceptible to security and bug issues. On January 10, support for the Web View2 tool will also end.
